"Training on "Linux Localization for Dzongkha"
   
Overview

Basic motivation of this training was to acquaint the trainees with all aspects of Localization, with focus on Linux and its applications. Initial part was 15 days of training and then spending rest of time in implementation.

   
Objectives

Main objective was to train a team which would work on Dzongkha localization project.
Specifically, the training aimed to achieve the following:

  • Input methods

  • Locales Fonts

  • Linux Localization basics

  • Keyboard layouts

  • Designing a font

  • Text rendering in Pango

  • ICU

  • Localization model of GNOME

  • Localization model of KDE

  • Mozilla

  • Creating a live CD
